Weight Loss Injections

We have recently been receiving a significant number of enquiries regarding weight loss injections. We understand that many of you are interested in this option, and we want to provide some clarity on the matter.
As a GP surgery, we can only prescribe weight loss injections if you meet the following criteria:
BMI>40 PLUS 4 out of 5 of the following:
1. Cardiovascular disease
2. Hypertension
3. High cholesterol
4. Obstructive sleep apnoea
5. Type 2 diabetes mellitus
It is important to ensure that this treatment is suitable and safe for you.
If you do not fit the above criteria, we cannot prescribe the medication but are happy to support you in other ways to lose weight.
